So why the name “The Stone Soup Company”? Similar to an old children’s story about a woman who makes an elaborate stew out of stone and feeds an entire village with it, The Stone Soup Company does not use a stone, but it does focus on the same concept – simplicity and feeding the community.

Founded in 2009 by Ilya Goldberg, SSC began as just a place to buy a cup of soup. But after a week in business, the restaurant’s menu quickly evolved into sandwiches, salads, gourmet dinner selections, late-night appetizers, beer Selections, and other desserts.

Today, SSC is an EMPLOYEE-OWNED full-service restaurant in Historic Ybor City, Tampa, FL. Full menu including award-winning Cuban sandwich, soups (of course), salads, and appetizers.

A full liquor bar and beer selection will quench your thirst. Open for lunch and dinner. Off-site catering available, as well as a venue for hosting your next private or corporate event for up to 125 people.
